With all the medical conditions in my family and the worry that goes with it I have had a very bad time with my finances. I took a test called Bills IQ and made a 76 on it. I was in major trouble or soon would be. My major concern is buying a house I could not afford. When we bought this house our finances was great and I did not have a thing to worry about. Then my husband lost his job we got behind and did the stupid thing let our house payments get behind. Debt consolidation was not a factor we could use at that time because our Credit card debt was outrageous. Debt relief for us meant not having a power bill that was over $200.00.
We asked our mortgage company for Debt help and all they said was sorry....your debt to income ratio is too high, I told them but that is why we need to Consolidate debt, but to no avail.
The mortgage company then referred us to Credit counseling. We even considered Bankruptcy. But we did the credit counseling and learned they can help you get your finances under control and the interest rates knocked down to just about nothing. You paid them a monthly sum and they took care of the rest. This allowed us to catch up our mortgage and saved us being on of the percentages of foreclosures you now hear about.
If there is one thing I learned it was not to get in this mess again. We are now secure and happily secure knowing we can pay our mortgage.

Multiple Sclerosis Update
I talked to my daughter earlier and decided to give you an update on her progression. She is now taking pills for depression which is part of dealing with the Multiple Sclerosis every day. She has stopped doing her exercises because she feels as if it is not doing any good. I told her after she quits for a awhile she will realize it was doing her good. She was up walking without a cane and her legs were not as stiff as they used to be.
I really wish there was a known cause and cure for this disease. Please keep giving and help the scientists.

A Disease That Affects the Memory
Alzheimer's is another disease that I tend to think of when I think of my dad and his Parkinson's. I hear every day how someone has walked away from their home and has come up missing because they could not remember where they live. This disease affects the memory and is more dangerous to the person's welfare as they can hurt themselves.
There is a Alzheimer's Memory Walk coming up in the fall and there are 600 communities involved in this. This walk will help raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer patients. This along with a few others I will participate in.
Join me in helping all causes close to you. I have personally been affected by these causes and hope that you do not have to feel the confusion and misunderstanding that I experienced by not knowing.

Parkinson's Progression
I an earlier post I talked about my father and his Parkinson's Disease. He has had Parkinson's since 2001. During that time I have watched him progress into a withdrawn and over anxious person. He is talking about writing a book on Parkinson's and I volunteered to help him.
We have given him a tape recorder and I will type it as he finishes each recording. This is going to be a real event for my family and hope it works out well. Parkinson's is a progressive disease that affects the nerves. I hope he gets all of it recorded.

I Know Next to Nothing Time to Take Classes
The web is a very complicated design of bits and bites. I used to be up to date on the technology and language used with the web but now feel as if I have been left behind. I took computer science classes some time ago. Now you have the convenience of online classes. I have looked into a few classes being offered and one of the best I believe is Cisco. The Cisco certification has brought a ton of literate and highly eligible individuals into the security area of Network Professionals.
After my certification of Web Promotion Specialist I found out that there is still a ton of applications I know next to nothing about. Trying to set up your own website is a challenge in itself. I believe a course offered by Cisco would help me understand the intricate parts of the Network that I have yet to learn. Networking is in huge demand and the careers offered are the plush jobs in the office that everyone would love to have. Security has been one of the hugest drawbacks on the internet. This type of training is imperative to keep the internet interesting to all and especially to the older generations that are just now learning the convenience of it.
Just working in this atmosphere would take a ton of anxiety off me as to whether or not my current job will hold out. That is everyone's anxiety I believe in this day and age. Are you ready for the internet age?

Are Children Growing Up too Quickly?
I have noticed children are growing at an alarming rate. Not just in mind but in body. I have a ten month old grandson and I know someone that has a nine 1/2 month old granddaughter. We have watched the progress of these two children. The girl is now walking has been pulling up on a table since she was 7 months old. My grandson is a little slower but is at the point of walking now. He knows what he wants and is a very happy young man. He is now 20 pounds and his height is in the ninety-five percentile. He is taller than 95% of other children his age. I am beginning to wonder what manufacturers are putting in their food, or maybe it is a lack of what they are putting in the food.

Do you Know what it takes to have Victory Hair?
Do you know what steps it takes to have Victory Hair?
1. A nice quiet atmosphere.
2. Use candles as the only lighting.
3. Prepare a home cooked dinner.
4. Chill your favorite wine.
5. Make sure your hair is in the sexiest style using the Extreme Style by VO5
6. Turn on romantic music.
If you do not know what Victory Hair is take a look at this the Ultimate Flirting Championship. Victory Hair is what happens after the nice dinner you just prepared. If I have to go into depth further than this, then you are too young and should not be playing this game.
There is a game called the Ultimate Flirting Championship being run as I write this. I just played the game and I was elected to be the judge. I had to ask questions and they had to answer within a specified time limit. I was hilarious! As you can see above all you have to do is click and it will put you in a waiting room. Once this is done you are either the Judge or contestant. You either ask the questions or answer. A winner is going to be chosen and rewarded.
Get your own Ultimate Flirting Championship widget from my page. It is great fun and hilarious.

The Jared Effect! I lost 5 Pounds
Everyone knows the subway commercial about how Jared lost a ton of weight by eating only subway sandwiches. So I decided to give it a try. I ate nothing but subway for a week, and can you believe it I lost 5 pounds. It is totally true. This is not an advertisement for them. I just like to prove commercials right or wrong sometimes so I can fuss if does not do what the commercial says it will do.
So want to lose 5 lbs eat away!

Adventure and Gut Wrenching Thrill Rides
Because we live so close and every summer I try to find things to do in Atlanta I have run across a multitude of online travel guides that offer an abundance of information.
My most memorable trip to Atlanta was full of adventure and gut wrenching thrill rides. We went to Wild Adventures Theme Park which has now turned into a multitude of different adventures. I love watching the growth and look forward to visiting the numerous additions since I have been there.
My trip included the water park and during the summer we enjoyed that part better than any. It kept us cool as every one of the rides splashed you to soaking wet. When we arrived it was early morning and we decided to ride the Boomerang Coaster. Of course you do not want to eat first when you ride this one. After the sun started beating down on us we decided to ride the Tri-Phoon Water Slide. It is a great way to stay cool. Needless to say the visit was wonderful and because it was so close made us feel at home.
I recently ran across Trusted Tours & Attractions website and was looking for another adventure. I decided to look at Things to do in New York City. I have never been there and have always wanted too. Who knows I may see you there!

We are in our Golden Years
Gas guzzling boats are slowly disappearing on the lake. When we take our boat out we have noticed an extremely low amount of boats especially the larger one. We do notice that they are at the marina just not going anywhere. That is one of the reasons we decided to go with a smaller boat. We are in our golden years and we would like to have fun before we buy our floating house.

I am always looking for the freebies
While away on vacation my webhost decided to let my website take forever to load. Several reports I get stated it was slower than 88% of the websites. This is disaster to any website. Well needless to say I was furious. I immediately started looking for another webhost. I am always looking for the freebies as every is.
Being able to compare webhosting is an added benefit. I am always looking for better. To be able to compare these side by side has always been a problem for me. I found a webhosting review site that does all this and will tell you on their main page what each webhost has to offer. They have a list of the freebies everyone is looking for also.

Always remember our soldiers overseas
Hope your 4th of July was as eventful as ours. Of course we took the boat out and was on the river when the fireworks started. We had witnessed the fireworks display at this river before and decided this was the best event we have seen in our state. We decided to take our neighbors they were thrilled. We watched the fireworks directly over our heads. It was amazing and helped to remind us our Soldiers are the people allowing us to do this.
Always remember our soldiers overseas.

I Am Preventing Theft

Turning green in my household is a major issue. I have commented on several occasions about how we are trying to convert our home into an energy saving environment. Our accomplishment in saving money allows us to go to the lake with our boat and be able to afford the gas.
One night I was watching TV and as usual there were 100 commercials. The show was probably 15 minutes long with 45 minutes of commercials. I guess they have to pay the bills somehow.
One of the commercials was our local power company. I was a little shocked because it was not their normal commercial with two birds talking to each other (which are very funny by the way). This commercial came on with a woman taking a broom and attacking her toaster. Needless to say it got my attention!
Her husband came home and she was worn out from fighting with her toaster he asked what was wrong she explained that the toaster was stealing from them. I laughed so I had tears.
After the commercial was over I proceeded to the kitchen and started unplugging everything that had a plug. My husband walked in and said what in the world are you doing? I said I am preventing theft. He looked at me and just shook his head. He said at least you can leave the clock plugged up so we can tell the time.
I have been extreme at times and even use a rechargeable Dirt Devil. These handy little vacuum cleaners are light weight and charge very rapidly. I use it on my stairs in my boat and for minor spills. Mine is very old now but it still works and they now have an Energy Star model. This will be even more efficient for my new green household.
